Effects of orientation of the acceleration vector on burning-rate augmentationThe functional dependence of acceleration-induced burning-rate augmentation on the magnitude and orientation of the acceleration vector was determined for an aluminized composite propellant by using a slab motor mounted at various angles on a centrifuge. The rate augmentation was strongly dependent on the orientation of the acceleration vector with respect to the burning propellant surface.
