Review of a series of proctosigmoidoscopies done at Wallops Station, VirginiaRoutine proctosigmoidoscopic examinations for incidence of polyps in NASA installation asymptomatic personnel establish the value of this method in detecting cancer without invasion beyond the stalk and resulting in curative operation at greater survival rates than in later detections.
