Image dissector developmentA second-generation electrostatically focused image dissector tube for use in spacecraft attitude control star trackers is being developed with the support of an industrial contractor. Significant improvements are being made in functional characteristics, as well as in package dimensional control, tolerance of a wide variety of environmental conditions, and expected reliability over long operational lifetimes.
