Twisted multifilament superconductorMasking selected portions of a ribbon and forming an intermetallic compound on the unmasked portions by a controlled diffusion reaction produces a twisted filamentary structure. The masking material prohibits the formation of superconductive material on predetermined areas of the substrate.
