Selected Vuilleumier refrigerator performance characteristicsStudy of the performance characteristics of the Vuilleumier refrigerator for spacecraft applications. The effect on refrigerator performance of several important components and design parameters is examined. The components and design parameters selected for investigation include the cold-end heat conductance, cold regenerator, refrigerator rpm, and refrigerator sump temperature.
