Development of a high efficiency thin silicon solar cellProgress is reported in an attempt to realize higher specific power output and radiation resistance from thin solar cells for space applications. The efforts applied to establishing the technological base for fabricating high efficiency thin solar cells are described. Progress is characterized by continuous improvements in all parameters of the space cell.
