General aviation's future need for researchThe research requirements for general aviation aircraft are presented. Emphasis is placed on improving the performance of airfoils, propellers, and engines. Additional requirements are expressed with respect to external noise reduction, internal noise reduction, and exhaust emission control. The requirement for anti-icing developments to create improved flight safety is discussed.
