Optical data processing analysis of stream patterns exhibited on ERTS-1 imageryThe purpose of the investigation described in this paper has been the analysis of large-scale geologic ground patterns in Kansas using ERTS-1 imagery and optical data processing techniques. Optical spatial frequency data provide a repeatable quantitative means of specifying ground pattern characteristics.
