Polyperfluoroalkylene ethers as high-temperature sealantsAfter a review of some of the literature to point out limitations in fluoroether synthesis, current work is discussed that is designed to alleviate deficiencies in obtaining high molecular weights, and projections on some of the challenges for future work in this area are given. Several mechanisms are diagrammed. The work of Dr. Price is emphasized.
