Electro-optical liquid depth sensorTransducer utilizes absorptive properties of water to determine variations in depth without disturbing liquid. Instrument is inexpensive, simple, and small and thus can be used in lieu of direct graduated scale readout or capacitive, ultrasonic, resistive or inducive sensors when these are impractical because of complexity or cost.
