Peak-acceleration limiterStatistical limiter, which protects test specimens during random vibration testing, differentiates between peak acceleration levels that are normal components of vibration signal and those that exhibit damaging characteristics. Device aborts test only when statistical properties of vibration signal change significantly or when catastrophic transient occurs.
