Outer flow and turbulence in boundary layersResults presented in report indicate that perturbations travel through boundary layer and give rise to turbulence production process which occurs near viscous sublayer. Part of turbulence produced near wall, in turn, moves outward and eventually produces convoluting outer edge of boundary layer to reproduce and sustain itself.
