Model for Calculating Electrolytic Shunt Path Losses in Large Electrochemical Energy Conversion SystemsGeneralized analysis and solution techniques were developed to evaluate the shunt power losses in electrochemical systems designed with a common or circulating electrolyte supply. Sample data are presented for a hypothetical bulk energy storage redox system, and the general applicability of the analysis technique is discussed.
