Drag coefficient equations for small particles in high speed flowsThe paper determines the effect of various available drag coefficient equations on particle velocity calculations for typical two phase flows encountered in supersonic and turbulent laser velocimeter applications. The predictions of the particle drag coefficient equations are compared with experimental sphere drag data. For the laser velocimeter applications, the relative Mach number less than 2 and the relative Reynolds number less than 200 are of particular importance.
