Some dynamic problems of rotating windmill systemsThe basic whirl stability of a rotating windmill on a flexible tower is reviewed. Effects of unbalance, gravity force, gyroscopic moments, and aerodynamics are discussed. Some experimental results on a small model windmill are given.
