Measurements of the reflection factor of flat ground surfacesMeasurements are made of the reflection factors of asphalt, concrete, and sod at oblique angles of incidence. Initial measurements were carried out in an anechoic chamber to eliminate the effects of wind and temperature gradients. These were followed by measurements made outdoors over a wider frequency range. Data are presented for the magnitudes of the reflection factors of asphalt, concrete, and sod at angles of incidence of 38 deg and 45 deg.
