Proton-induced radioactivity in NaI (Tl) scintillation detectorsRadioactivity induced by protons in sodium iodide scintillation crystals were calculated and directly measured. These data are useful in determining trapped radiation and cosmic-ray induced, background-counting rates in spaceborne detectors.
