Candidate space processing techniques for biomaterials other than preparative electrophoresisThe advantages of performing the partition and countercurrent distribution (CCD) of cells in phase separated aqueous polymer systems under reduced gravity were assessed. Other possible applications considered for the space processing program include the freezing front separation of cells, adsorption of cells at the air-water interface, and the macrophage electrophoretic mobility test for cancer.
