Testing composite sheets at high temperaturesCandidate materials for skins of flexural sandwich beams can be compressive- or tensile-tested at high temperature by using corrosion resistant steel (CRES) for core material. Tests with CRES core have been made at temperatures as high as 260 C. Future tests at temperatures above 371 C may be permissible.
