Problematics of different technical maintenance for computersTwo modes of operations are used in the technical maintenance of computers: servicing provided by the equipment supplier, and that done by specially trained computer users. The advantages and disadvantages of both modes are discussed. Maintenance downtime is tabulated for two computers serviced by user employees over an eight year period.
