Inertially-aided, all-weather landing systems for C/TOLWays to improve significantly all-weather landing systems technology for conventional take-off and landing vehicles, primarily, the large commercial jets, were studied. It was concluded that there is a great deal to be gained by extensive use of inertial navigation system derived information, primarily, the translational information inherent in an inertial navigator, for improving all-weather landing system performance.
