Mapping of lunar surface remanent magnetic fields by electron scatteringThe electron scattering technique for measurement of lunar surface remanent magnetic fields is described and a map of the remanent field regions derived from the 14-keV electron measurements of the particle experiment aboard the Apollo 16 Subsatellite is presented. The mapping achieves a spatial resolution of about 40 km and a sensitivity of about 0.1 gamma at the lunar surface.
