Field-flattener lensProposed spherical lens employs image flattening reflective surface within spherical refracting elements to focus light to flat image. Device is intended for use as optical scanner for silicon light detector. Lens can scan wide angle at low F-stops, producing high-resolution image over angle of wavelengths from 0.4 to 14 micrometers.
