Sealed high-pressure x-ray detectorDetector is filled to pressure of 2 atm with mixture of 95% xenon and 5% methane for recording hard x-ray (50-to100-keV0 images with spatial resolution of about 1 mm. Being sealed, detector requires no gas purification or replenishment after initial fill. Potential areas of application include nuclear medicine, and x-ray or gamma-ray astronomy.
