Remote sensing of soil moisture: A NASA viewpoint

A representative of NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center addressed the Workshop and offered a few points in terms of where NASA might be able to help provide observational and information handling capabilities. The function of NASA is briefly discussed in order to determine how NASA could help in this endeavor. Several questions are posed to the Workshop for consideration.
