Potential of a nitrogen tetroxide spill or emission during movement from supplier to userThe type of equipment used to transport nitrogen tetroxide is described along with various methods of shipping utilized. Emphasis is placed on reduction of accident rate. Potential areas for leaks, emissions, or spills discussed include: accidental spills, transfer operations, sampling, and the so-called 'empty' trailer. Corrective actions taken to reduce the occurrence of these problems are briefly discussed.
