The 25 kN space stationThe capabilities of photovoltaic, nuclear reactor, and solar thermal systems are assessed for the space construction base. Topics covered include Brayton conversion, thermionic conversion, and thermo-electric conversion. The effectiveness of nickel cadmium and nickel hydrogen batteries are discussed as well as that of regenerative fuel cells. The verification of long cycle life for nickel hydrogen systems is recommended.
