Characterization of electromagnetic signals generated by electrical breakdown of spacecraft insulating materialsThe functioning of the experimental setup and the preliminary inputs for the development of analytical models of the discharge process are presented. This allows for the development of new or modified materials and design techniques having the necessary discharge immunity to insure high reliability and long lifetime of space systems.
