Intertropical convergence zone ozone profiles from the Learjet ozone analyzerAn ozone analyzer operated as part of the sampling package aboard the NASA Learjet on each flight in the Panama ITCZ (Intertropical Convergence Zone) experiment. The measurement program was not successful because of instrument failure, apparently due to high humidity effects on one or more components of the ozone sensing instrument. A brief description of the experimental installation and some comments about an apparent correlation between very low ozone concentrations and cloud layers at altitude are presented.
