DOE/NASA Mod-OA wind turbine performanceThe NASA Lewis Research Center has designed, built, and is operating a 200-kW wind turbine (designated the Mod-OA-1) at Clayton, New Mexico. This paper compares the measured power-vs-speed performance of the Mod-OA-1 with predictions made using the PROP code. It is found that the actual performance closely matches predictions.
