The reaction of ClOO with NOReactions of ClOO with NO were studied by photolyzing Cl2 in the presence of NO and O2 with or without added N2. Steady-state photolysis results show that two reactions of ClOO and NO can occur, one forming ClO and the other forming ClNO. The rate constants for the reactions are calculated, and their values indicate that the reactions are probably not important in the stratosphere.
