Mission simulator test dataA real time mission simulation test program of nickel cadmium cells, performed in conjunction with the Anik 1A2 satellite, is reviewed. Simulation of the temperature profiles, the electrical profiles, the depth of discharge, and the rate of charge and discharge is reported. The type of separator used in the cells and the transfer of electrolytes during overcharge are discussed.
