Electric propulsion for SPSThe design and characteristics of the solar power satellite electric propulsion system are described. Both the payload powered orbital transfer vehicle and the independent powered transfer vehicle configuations are discussed. Mass estimates for the system, the average cost per system unit, and the cost per flight estimates are also given.
