Magnetization changes by superimposed stress pulsesThe magnetization of a BiMn alloy with ferromagnetic inclusions changes at constant magnetic field, if the sample is subjected to ultrasonic pulses. The magnetization changes can be described on the basis of the Stoner-Wohlfarth theory of coherent rotation. It is possible to change the magnetization in selected volume elements by superimposing short pulses in those volume elements.
