Problems in calibrating a polar nephelometerA calibration procedure for nephelometers which is based on the method developed by Pritchard and Elliott (1960) is outlined. Basically, the method consists of comparing the intensity of the light scattered from the particles in the common volume with the intensity reflected from a calibration standard. A proof of the calibration method is given.
