Using Nomarski Interference to Detect Microcracks in GlassNomarski interference-contrast microscopy has been proposed as technique for detecting, measuring, and observing Griffith microcracks in glass and glasslike substances. Would facilitate research into cause and elimination of these flaws, along with short-and long-term effects of temperature, humidity, and other conditions. Nomarski interference-contrast technique is expected to find wide use in inspection of glass and other materials.
