The 1980 direct strike lightning dataData waveforms are presented which were obtained utilizing the NASA F-106B aircraft specially instrumented for lightning electromagnetic measurements. The aircraft was operated in a thunderstorm environment to elicit strikes. Concurrently recorded electric and magnetic field and lightning current data were obtained.
