Narrow channel bandwidth receiver for VLBIAn introduction to the phase four receiver subsystem to be implemented into the DSN for VLBI applications is presented. The key design areas are discussed along with the design approach. Preliminary evaluation data indicate a feasible, straightforward design may be obtained.
