Improved version of the split routine for CLASSYThe theoretical basis for a new version of the SPLIT routine for CLASSY is developed. (The SPLIT routine is used to guess the positions of the parts of a cluster which is not normally distributed.) The proposed routine would be a faster, more accurate replacement for the existing SPLIT routine, which was developed on an ad hoc basis.
