Torque generated by orthogonal acoustic waves - TheoryAn analytical calculation of the torque generated by orthogonal waves is reported. This torque is a result of a viscous effect, rather than the Bernoulli effect as in Rayleigh's torque. The agreement between the reported experimental values and this calculation is excellent.
