Mapping Ocean Winds by RadarInformation about ocean weather is extracted from radar returns with aid of special algorithm. Algorithm determines wind-speeds and wind directions at ocean surface, and from this information can locate low- and high-pressure centers, convergence regions, and zones of strong winds and wind shear associated with ocean weather system fronts.
