Cylindrical annulus modelsThe stability diagram for the atmospheric general circulation experiment (AGCE) was numerically determined. The cylindrical code of Warn-Varnas modified for linear stability and adapted to spherical geometry. The code computes axisymmetric basic states and then test their stability to zonal disturbances. The Warn-Varnas code and some of the basic state results are reported.
