The Stratosphere 1981: Theory and measurementsMeasurements of trace species are compared with theoretical estimates and the similarities and the differences between the two sets of data are discussed. The theoretical predictions are compared with long term trends in both column content and altitude profile of ozone as observed from ground-based and satellite instruments. The chemical kinetics and photochemistry of the stratosphere were reviewed.
