Isolated grain condensation behavior: Computation methods and first resultsA set of efficient programs for calculation of condensation behavior in a system with either solar or carbon-rich elemental composition was developed to treat the course of condensation at very low pressures. These programs were applied to the problem of condensation at very low pressures. The minerals produced in the stellar and nova-related processes under study, including carriers of important volatile elements such as carbon and nitrogen, are candidates for accretion into meteorite parent bodies and planets, and may still be discernible in the enstatite chondrites.
