The hot components of hydrogen deficient binariesLow resolution IUE observations of the hot components of three very similar but peculiar objects: LSS 4300, Upsilon Sgr, and KS Per were compared. The possible evolutionary scenarios from observations and the extremely low hydrogen contents of the visible stars are discussed. It is suggested that the hot secondaries in hydrogen deficient binaries should also be hydrogen deficient.
