Optical Turbopump Speed SensorOptical tachometer measures shaft rotation from outside turbopump housing. Laser-diode beam passes through quartz lens into shaft nut with alternating reflective and nonreflective surfaces. Reflected pulses collected by lens and transmitted to photodetector.
