Improving a NASTRAN dynamic model with test data using LINWOODThe concept of expressing test modes as a linear combination of analytical modes was applied to the prediction of corrective terms in math model mass and stiffness. Test data for the Space Shuttle quarter scale solid rocket booster were analyzed by this method and significant improvements in frequency and mode shap correlation are noted. The applicability of the method is demonstrated.
