Spacecraft battery reconditioning cost considerationsCost considerations for spacecraft battery reconditioning are studied. Results indicate that the cost of performing reconditioning is minuscule compared with spacecraft system investment. Results also indicate that spacecraft life extension of a few days justifies incorporation of reconditioning circuitry.
