Interferometer for Measuring Acoustic SignalsOptical-fiber interferometer measures wave amplitude without contacting specimen surface. System contains remote detector head. Head includes beam splitter that divides input beam and recombines output beams, while spatial filter filters interference pattern at beam-splitter output; and lens focuses this on detector. Beams focused on specimen surface to record acoustic signals.
