Insulation Debond DetectionLoad-cell and acoustic responses indicate bonding condition nondestructively. Signal recorded by load cell direct and instantaneous measure of local stiffness of material at point of impact. Separate and distinctly different measurement that sensed by microphone. Spectrum analysis of pulse obtained from debonded point will only show frequencies below 425 Hz because insulation alone does not have stiffness to support energy at higher frequencies.
